How Minecraft server voting works

What a vote is

A vote is a player saying they endorse that server on its ScopeCraft page. You enter your Minecraft username and a short check so the same person cannot vote again immediately. Votes are one signal in the directory. They are not a measure of whether the world is any good.

Rewards and Votifier

Some servers connect Votifier or NuVotifier so a successful vote can grant a reward in-game. ScopeCraft only marks that reward as delivered after the delivery succeeds. If the server's listener rejects the vote, the page should not pretend the reward arrived.

The username you type has to be the name you play with. A reward script on the server looks up that name. ScopeCraft does not see your Mojang account password, and it does not need it.
